The Emergency Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a New York State Certified Stroke Center, which means that we have been recognized as being best able to address the comprehensive medical needs of a person who is having a stroke. Our Emergency Center staff are trained in diagnosing and treating strokes and have access to the resources they need to conduct thorough evaluations and expedite treatments.
